On the whole these are identical to traditional bound except for the bindings. Post bound books have to be flat backed to hold the pages correctly. But as we have decided to do curved spines from now on we have faked the roundness of them. After painting the triquetra the Ancient types are antiqued over several coats using our aging technique. This book is replicating a book 100s of years old so we have spent a great deal of time making the book this way, on the ancients the colour changes depending on the light. The New type finish are waxed and finished without this process. They also have the 5-sash cord detail on the spine. Triquetra Book of Shadows are approx. 12 3/4" X 9" and holds approx 500 leaves creating 1000 pages.
